7-Veld light field artillery
The 7,5 cm 7-Veld gun was a 1904 designed rapid-fire field artillery piece. It had been modified in the 1920's, and as such capable of delivering shells over a distance of 10,000 m. It was a very capable gun, although its calibre was light.
The 7-Veld guns formed the back-bone of most artillery regiments. Those regiments were formed by two 7-veld battalions (12 guns each) and a third battalion with either 12 cm or 15 cm howitzers.
