Boxtel - may 1940

The city of Boxtel was in the line of fire during the first two days of the invasion. But it was again targetted shortly after the Dutch capitulation, but then by the Allies. De RAF raided the railway station of Boxtel in the night of 22/23 May 1940. Two planes dropped their bombs which obviously missed the target, although they were not too far off. The results were that three houses, a hotel and a garage were destroyed, but also twelve German soldiers KIA.
