This German Obergefreiter supervises the intake of camouflage material on a cart during the march to the west of Holland. No less than 90% of the regular German army had to use horses and carts to meet their logistical challenges. Although the units operating in Holland - especially in the south - were relatively well equipped with mechanised units and motorisation.
