Deventer bridge - may 1940

The Deventer bridge was only successfully destroyed after the fourth attempt. The three failed to accomplish a thorough destruction. It was blown up just in time to block a German armoured train. Waffen SS units were then easily rejected any crossing-attempt, and soon the Germans took off for Zwolle under the false impression that the bridge overthere was in fit condition.
