The Peel-Raamline - may 1940

A clear picture of the trenches that curled a few hundred meters beyond the casemate line. This was the hardly occupied main-resistance line that was originally scheduled to be occupied by the entire III Corps. Due to the altered strategy these trenches were only occupied by thin screen troops from a handful of battalions. Still at certain points they managed to hold the Germans for quite some time from these field-trenches.
