Situation on the 17th of May, end of the day - may 1940

The Germans are in control of the east part of Walcheren and Zuid-Beveland and have locked the Allied forces around Antwerp. The last pocket of mainly Dutch troops along the Sloe capitulated in the morning of the 17th. The remblants of the 60th French Infantry Division, assisted by more French and Belgian troops, guard the north-eastern coastline of Zeeuws-Vlaanderen.
